Choose Ryffio for faster replies on the phone, a phone minute about a quarter cheaper, 25 included lines and team roles from day one. Choose Vapi when its broad provider catalog and developer ecosystem are your priority.
On the same end-to-end measure, Ryffio's median reply came 280 ms sooner than Vapi's (1,278 vs 1,558 ms) and its p95 403 ms sooner (1,605 vs 2,008 ms). Ryffio's platform fee is $0.03/min against Vapi's $0.05 hosting fee, and 25 concurrent calls are included where Vapi's usage plan includes 4. Admin, editor and viewer roles are included; Vapi lists roles from its Pro package, with a $999 monthly minimum.
Ryffio also gives you a technology supplier with a focused support team. The current hosting region is US East; discuss data-location requirements before purchase.
Where Vapi fits best
Choose based on your requirements.
A broad provider catalog, an established developer ecosystem and free inbound US numbers on its usage plan.
If your existing setup already meets its goals, switching has a cost. Run a controlled evaluation rather than assuming a feature checklist proves a better result.

Compare the full bill
One hosting rate is not the total price.
Ryffio itemises the platform, speech recognition, model, voice, post-call analysis and phone transport. Your carrier can also bill separately. Vapi’s entry hosting rate is $0.05/min against Ryffio’s $0.03, and both pass providers through. On each platform’s cheapest stack a phone minute is about $0.058 on Ryffio and about $0.076 on Vapi.
For 10 minutes, Ryffio’s platform component is $0.30 before other usage; on the cheapest stack a 10-minute phone call costs about $0.58 in all, carrier included. Review the full Ryffio pricing model.
How to evaluate a switch
Recreate your assistant instructions, tools and knowledge in Ryffio. Replace endpoint URLs and webhook signatures, then run the same test calls. Phone numbers and provider credentials need separate configuration; there is no automatic import.
Choose one representative use case and capture a baseline of successful outcomes, costs and response times.
Create a Ryffio account and add credits, or agree an enterprise evaluation.
Rebuild the agent and connections. Test consent, pronunciation, interruptions, tools, failure cases and transfers.
Review call outcomes and the full cost. Move a small amount of traffic only after the results meet your criteria.
Latency is the full pipeline with the agent: the gap from the moment the caller stops speaking to the agent's first audio, measured on real phone calls with the Openbenchmarks open-source analyzer (github.com/openbenchmarks-labs/voice-agent-latency) on a dual-channel Twilio carrier recording. Ryffio ran Openbenchmarks' Northwind support agent and question sets on a dedicated-CPU host in US East on 25 October 2026, with Gemini 3.5 Transcribe Live, Gemini 3.5 Flash-Lite, Fish Audio Drama 3 and a 0.2 s end-of-speech wait. Vapi, Retell AI and ElevenLabs publish no end-to-end figure of their own; their numbers are Openbenchmarks' independent measurements (leaderboard of 1 August 2026, about 400 turns each over Plivo, endpointing tuned down). Our sample is smaller and our carrier is Twilio. Cost per minute uses each platform's cheapest published configuration for a phone call, including a carrier: Ryffio with gpt-4o-mini-transcribe, Gemini 3.5 Flash-Lite and OpenAI TTS at the usage of a measured call (about 6,750 prompt tokens, 60 completion tokens and 270 spoken characters per minute), plus Twilio inbound at $0.0085/min. Agent-runtime capacity was measured on one machine with mocked AI providers against open-source Python Pipecat. Prices are in USD and exclude tax.
“Included” means no separate Ryffio feature subscription; the underlying model, speech, analysis and transport usage can still cost money. Feature availability, provider limits and commercial terms can change. Check the linked sources before purchasing.
Ryffio is the publisher of this comparison, not an independent reviewer. Our latency sample is smaller than Openbenchmarks’ (about 400 turns per platform), and differences under about 50 ms are within its error budget. We do not claim that shared features are exclusive. Test the same scenarios and models before moving traffic.
